The beginning of the current Green Lantern Arc starts off with excellent writing and art.
The art is not so stark to where it jumps out at you—but it blends in with story. Art should tell the story along with the writing. That’s what this art does. Geoff Johns is an excellent writer, as I have noted elsewhere. This is a story that draws in the reader with description, action, and suspense. This is a good start to this arc.
I really like reading a comic that when I get to the end of the book, I want more. This doesn’t happen all of the time. As a novice, I think this is a major reason why I consider this book good writing.
