This atractive issue reminds me that hope is a product of experience.
I have been looking forward to reading this comic book because the cover is very impressive. The cover is actually my favorite cover in a while. I think Renato Guedes did a wonderful job with the art in this comic book.
The story was interesting as well as thought provoking. I think Dwayne McDuffie provided a nice side trip in the one going story line of Action Comics. And somewhere in the story, I was able to identify a moral.
Superman had fought many different enemies…he’s even been dead. Everytime, he comes back. There is hope in that. Many times I will read and worry about how Superman will defeat the foe or if he will return…kinda. But, I always have that hope that he will win. This hope is not because of some cynical idea that DC Comics can not afford to have Superman die (and stay dead).   This hope is based on the fact that I have seen him win time and time again. The hope is based on experience.
So what in your life do you see working time and time again? For me that something is Christ. It is beyond a comic book kind of hope, but one of sheer experience. This really hit home as I read this issue.
