Finally, after several months of anticipation, I’m able to begin reading “Infinite Crisis”. I am happy with the first issue. #1 sets the stage of unrest within the DC Universe and Superman is here to save the day.
I’m not clued in completely on the Multiple Superman Concept, but I understand the Earth-2 idea, so I’ll accept it as-is. I thought the story to Infinite Crisis begins well with strife between “the big three.” I know enough to understand the Than-gar War and I read “The OMAC Project” while I was in Iraq. I enjoyed seeing how both of those stories played into the overall Crisis.
The BIG story, however, is the interaction between Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. I think that the writters were brilliant in building the tension between these three. They have all been at the top of the game for years–it is a wonder that they have not experienced strife before now. Each of them have their own ego to protect and their own status, even Superman–everything comes down to politics somehow.Â
I’m looking forward to seeing how this story unfolds in the coming days.
