I discovered “iTunes U” this morning.
I have been looking for ways to learn about art. I like art, but I want to truly appreciate quality art more. I think I was raised with a strong sense of appreciation for music–as a matter of fact, I downloaded Julia Fisher’s Bach Concertos today.  This music appreciation, I am truly grateful for.  But, I have felt a lacking in my appreciation of paintings in particular…I should have take Art Appreciation in college instead of the Music Appreciation class that was the easy answer. So, I have been considering art appreciation more.
I was reading a book called the Encore Effect this morning, which mentioned that the reader should read the top magazines, the top books, and listen to the free lectures available through iTunes U. I thought that was a great idea. So, I found the little used link on my iTunes software and searched the Fine Arts section. I, of course, found lectures from Oxford about art and history.
There are many other areas of art that I can learn. There so much avaiable there on iTunes U. It will be an interesting pursuit.
