This morning during my prayer time, I began to sing.
“Jesus Paid It All.Â
All to him, I owe.Â
Sin had left a crimson stain.Â
He washed it white as snow.”
I was reminded how those Hymns have been ingrained in me–and how they encougage me.
I sang one of my favorites (if not my favorite):
“Some through the waters, some through the flood,
Some through the fire, but all through the blood;
Some through great sorrow, but God gives a song,
In the night season and all the day long.”
I don’t think I have ever sang that in church–except when I was Pastor. There is a soft reassurance that comes from the hymns. These is a deeper sense of spirituality in them.Â
