There is only one “Opening Day” and that is the day when Baseball Season Opens. This year, I’m able to enjoy an entire season—something I haven’t been able to do in…how long have I been in the Army? Yes, six years.
To be fair—it isn’t completely the Army’s fault; our oldest girls have just turned six as well. However, my life changed the year I began Active Duty. This year, however, is going to be different.
I am planning to watch my favorite team, the Cincinnati Reds go on to the World Series and bring home the Championship.
I began listening to the Reds games over 700 WLW when I was in high school. I would go to bed many nights listening on my AM radio to their games through the summers. That gave me a love for baseball and for the Reds. It is going to be an exciting year for me to watch—so pardon me if I break-in to the blog on some baseball news.

CH Andrews,
I really enjoy your blog. I’m a chaplain candidate and I read your blog each week. But I had to drop a comment because I’m a massive Reds fan too! Go Reds!
