As much as I love to play Call of Duty, there are times when I must simply walk away. I’m not talking about “Rage Quiting”– when one gets so frustrated by playing that they just quit out of anger. I’ve been there for sure–but not for a long time. I’m talking about unplayability.
Today was one of those days. I sat down and warmed up. then went into a public match. I was playing will. I made it into the top two or three of my teams of eight before everything fell apart. Slowly, as I played, I began noticing some slight glitches-some freezing and some slow motion. I began to see people appear in front of me– out of thin air. Soon, I was seeing major freezing and the wonderful feeling of watching we get shot prior to the shooter opening in front of me. Restarting the console didn’t fix it on the next game end sorting through different lobbies didn’t help either.
Maybe it was the weather but I sadly watched the packet loss meter hit 1% and the latency meter reach 50–All these things contributed to a rough session of Call of Duty.
