The week before I travel to Korea for the year, I have tried to focus as much of my time on spending time with the family. I started out by attending Lenexa Baptist Church on Sunday. We have loved being members of Lenexa Baptist Church during the last year, and I am so excited that my family will be able to continue there and experience wonderful preaching and music, as well as opportunities for the children. I try to take a selfie with one of my children each week. This week it was Jenny’s turn!
After church, we had an afternoon of shopping planned, so we stopped in to eat at Fuddruckers for burgers. I posted a similar photo on my Instagram account and Fuddruckers liked seeing the photo and commented “Awesome! We love those little Fudds fans!” Will had to wait a couple of more minutes while he patiently waited for all of his sisters (and Mommy) to fix their burger.
Monday and Tuesday were both filled with the stress of separating my belonging from the family’s and then the packers came to pack it up. So, on Wednesday, we all got out of the house to the zoo. We visited the Omaha Zoo to see the new African Grasslands Exhibit.
Visiting the zoo is a wonderful time to spend enjoying the animals and interacting with the kids.
Thursday was a day to spend lunch with Will. Will loves hot dogs. So, it was fitting that when Burger King began offering Hot Dogs, we had to try them out. We enjoyed the dogs and the time together.
Jenny wants to be a firefighter when she grows up, so I wanted to visit the fire station with her. She had a great time looking and crawling into the trucks. The firefighters were extra nice to her and she had an exciting visit.
We’ve had a great week of spending time together. I am happy to be able to take the time to make it enjoyable for all of us.

Keith, You had forwarded information regarding a crash at Lane AAF in 1968, reported by a mechanic in the engine shop – with pictures. I’ve lost cc’s of those pictures and they’re no longer available in your email. It was titled “The Wreck” and was originally from Mike (Dusty) Rose. If you still have those or know where I can find them again, let me know. Thanks, Joe
