I woke up early on Saturday and walked out the door in time for day break. I spent the morning taking photos along the river in downtown Uijeongbu, Korea.
I may have started a little too early because the final product was a little darker than I wish. However, I think they still bring a nice touch to a view of the city. It has been some time since I have done a photo walk such as this. I have taken photos of downtown areas and I have taken photos along with another trip I was taking, but a trip for the sole purpose of practicing my photography has been more difficult to find time for.
I enjoyed watching the city come to life as the people on busses and trains began their early morning trips. There was a stillness in the morning. Slowly more and more people began to joined me on the walkway. Many of these people were older and they walk nearly every morning. It is a lifelong habit that they do, some with others and most by themselves. They have a nice quiet place to walk. I was able to see some of these same people after they finished their walk as they met at the water hose to fill their water bottles. They saw friends that they knew and probably meet daily at the water point.
The trail I took was a trail I run on during the week. It provides me a peaceful place to run, but it is also interesting as I pass the city just above the wall.
