For the last several years, I have been listening to “The Lede” podcast with much enjoyment and anticipation to the next episode. The Lede Pocast is a podcast about content marketing and copywriting for the web. As Copyblogger.com became larger and larger, The Lede was the podcast that discussed writing and writing digitally. During the time I have been listening, the Copyblogger Company developed Rainmaker.fm and began publishing a number of great podcasts to be downloaded regularly. The Copyblogger Company has now become Rainmaker Digital. Three of the Rainmaker.fm podcasts are favorites of mine as I think about writing. These podcasts are Editor-in-Chief, The Writer Files and Rough Draft.
Stefanie Flaxman leads this discussion each week about writing and editing. On the surface, that simple description sounds like a basic English Class, but in reality the show is about how to write and how to think about writing. She approaches each topic with experience and transparency to convey great ideas about improving your writing.
The Podcaster for The Writer Files is Kelton Reid. Each week, he interviews great writers and discusses their particular method for writing. I always enjoy listening to the people that he invites on the show and it inspires me to continue to write and work on my writing.
Demian Farnworth has become someone that I respect. I listened to him as a cohost on The Lede and I enjoyed hearing his technical knowledge in the subject of writing and content marketing. Demian Farnworth, now, does the Rough Draft podcast while continuing to do The Lede. This podcast focusses on his expertise in doing writing for the web and writing in general.
All of these podcasts are available of iTunes, so I encourage you to take a look at what they have to offer. The three shows are my pick of the week, because day after day to turn to them to receive inspiration and instruction that is very useful to me as a writer.
