Today is Derby Day. Too bad I will miss another Kentucky Derby. No I’ve never been in person, but it is always fun to sit around watching TV to get ready for it that night.

I gave a prayer at a “Change of Command” Ceremony yesterday. It is always an honor to be apart of them–I even get to say the prayer.

This is the time of year in Iraq that the dust is thick daily.

I gave up my in-room internet this week as I traveled to FOB Falcon. So, I am bound to blogging from the MWR center. Thanks for the opportunity! I am grateful there are computers to use.

I am glad that you still have some access. I know it is very impostant to you and your family.
Does it ever amaze you how much we all rely on the Internet now? I thought about that often while we were in France. I do not know how I would have survived the expatriation without the ability to e-mail my friends and family. Let’s not even go into blogging and Facebook. Now I am again appreciative as I am able to keep in touch with the friends I made in France. Somedays I question the pervasiveness of technology. Other days I am so thankful for the connections it has helped me make in my life.
