One of my New Years resolutions is to simplify my life.
Simplification becomes a challenge when I have several boxes of comics and more to buy. However challenging, I still must find a way.  Therefore, in my comic collection this is what I’m doing.
First, I am creating two stacks. One being the comics that I want to keep. And those that I have to get rid of. I wish I could keep them all, but I’m not sure what use they would be because I not sure I’d ever read them. Then, I also find that I have several duplicate copies of different books. My rule became this “If it doesn’t mean much too me NOW, get rid of it.” So all of my odds and ends Spider-man–gone. Hulk–gone. Out of sequence Daredevil–gone. I have some duplicate Batman and some ones and twos of other DC that I’ve got to part with.
This weekend I plan on taking an inventory and seeing what I will keep. The rest I will take out of my database and soon take to the Great Escape Comic shop in Nashville…just to get something back from them. I may make $20 or $30 total. I hope to get more if they let me get store credit. The idea is to streamline titles, not necessarilly get rid of books. Simplification is the goal and it doesn’t make sense to drag hundreds of books that I really don’t want (but feel too guilty to get rid of) around the world with me.
So, I’m simplifying my collection. I hope that the end result will be a nice organized streamlined collection of books that are worthy to be showed off to others.

What do you mean, take around the world? Do you travel the world for comic stuff?
Can i ask, what started your passion for comics?
