Looking at photos of El Paso, Texas always makes me happy. The city is a wonderful place and I look forward to returning there very soon. One of the best aspects, among the many, is the beautiful blue skies over the city.
Over the weekend, Monica and I had a video call with a friend in El Paso who was outside. We loved seeing the blue sky behind him in his video.
Currently, in Germany, the temperature is around 37 degrees Fahrenheit and drizzly rain nearly every day. It is January, so the days are short, The clouds in the sky make the nights seem that much darker and colder. These are the days I long for the sunny days of El Paso.
El Paso is called “The Sun City” with an average of about 300 sunny days a year. I remember the first time we lived there; we arrived in January. That year we went several months without seeing a cloud. I remember never having to think about whether it was going to rain, because it didn’t. In September there maybe a short rainy season—but other than that it is blue skies.
