I was contacted today by somebody at the PR firm M80 working for Warner Home Video about Justice League: The New Frontier, a new Justice League DVD set to be released on Tuesday, 26 February 2008. (But, I saw in WIZARD magazine that this weekend’s San Francisco Comic Convention—WonderCon, will offer the World Premiere.)
I was incredibly excited about this. I haven’t been in the loop with DVDs as I would liked lately–I probably need to pay better attention. Actually, the last one I saw was the Superman/Doomsday DVD in a chow hall in Grafenwoehr, Germany. I need to buy that one…it is was really good.
So, it was good to get news that there are more DVDs being produced out there–especially the comic book character genre.
I’m excited to be able to see a look at the beginning of the Worlds Greatest Team of Superheroes. I’ve seen different versions of the story–name the version offered in Justice League: Season One. But, I think that I will be inspired to check out the original mini-series (which the individual issues are running about $7 a piece) or at least the Trade Paperback of the series after watching it.

I have to say it was a great movie but i would read the trade first. To me the movie was a little Choppy and it woudl have bothered me if i did not read the trades first

You know, I think the cover of that DVD box would make really terrific wallpaper for the bedroom of a comic-fan kid… ๐ Looking forward to hearing what you think of the Justice League: The New Frontier, when you’ve had a chance to see it. I know a certain “big kid” comic fan who has a birthday coming up quite soon!
