10,000 hits and I can’t believe I made it this far.Â
I began this blog while I was in Iraq. I wanted to achieve two things. First, I wanted to publish something on a regular basis. Two, I wanted to talk about the hobby I love.  I had no scanner to scan covers, so I borrowed pictures from other sites. I wrote about anything I could think of regarding comic books. I returned home and began to read comics again, scan covers and write about what I read.
At first, I took the advise of more established bloggers who said not “to write to get hits, because you will be disappointed.” I took this to heart and wrote for myself. I remember this when I have slow days or weeks. Hits are important to me because I want to be read, but I first want to be a good writer. So, I focus on my writing.
My philosophy on blogging is constantly changing. I am continually learning and developing my blog to make it more enjoyable. I hope that you will continue to read my blog, as I work to become more enjoyable and more interesting. I write as a new comic book reader, which I am. Therefore, if you are not a comic book reader, I hope you can learn something about comics and about me.
