When I was working in hotels, I heard a manager say once to a customer; “Yes, we will make mistakes, but watch how we recover.” That has been done at Rick’s Comics, in Nashville, TN.
I wrote a post earlier this month expressing some frustration with my comic shop. As you can see in the first comment, Rick stepped up to the plate and apologized. I appreciated the comment. I was impressed that Rick wrote in to respond.Â
I am also somewhat eembarrassed. When I wrote the entry, I wanted to highlight the mistake without highlighting the store or my friend behind the counter. I am amazed that someone took the time to figure out what store I went to and then cared enough about what I said. I’m impressed.
So, that is the example of an excellent comic book shop–everyone makes mistakes, but watch how they recover.
