This week, Monica and I were putting the final touches on the launch of dustyfile.com. I had wanted a theme header for the top, so I developed a sketch to match the my life right now. Unfortunately, the sketch didn’t work well with the design of the blog theme and could not be used. But, I liked it so much–I didn’t want it to go to waste.
To me, the sketch represents, first, the mountains that I cross to go to work every day, the mountains that I see when I run, the mountains I see outside my window, and the same mountains that I hike on most Sundays. It also represents the city. It could be any city–right now it represents El Paso. Not a skyline sketch by no stretch, but little bits and pieces of the city I’m in and have truly come to love.
