I have a frequent request from my office for packages of Cup Noodles.
Sometimes, it is nice to have something ready to eat by just adding water and sticking it in the microwave–or in my case, boiled the water and pouring it in. We will sometimes receive packages of Ramen Noodles, but there remains the problem of the bowl to place it in. Cup Noodles solve this problem.
Why would anyone want to eat Ramen noodles? The DFAC is a hike–not a huge one–but, every now and then it is nice to not have to make that walk, especially when we’ve been doing the walk three times a day for 9 months. Also, DFAC food is good–but, by nature of being mass produced daily on a regular menu plan, it ges old. Sometimes the walk really isn’t worth it.
Another lunch option–which is my personal choice are the Tuna Salad lunch kits.
Now, I definitely encourage Soldiers to eat a good balanced meal–man can’t live on Ramen alone–but it is a nice break once and awhile.

That is a good question! I boil the water in a hot pot and pour it over the noodles.

You could boil the water in the microwave for the cup noodles, but if containers are an issue, then what do you boil the water in?
