While most people dream of a big house on the beach, I dream of something smaller and less expensive.
One of my long term dreams is to build a little cottage outside my house to hold my comic books and a reading area. Call it a “Pout House”, a “Man Cave” or whatever–I would love to have a really nice one. One problems is that I have no money–’nuff said. Another big problem is that I’m in the Army and I move every two to three years. So, the plan is that I retire in 20 or 30 years, I buy a house in the country, with enough acreage to build a little storage shed. Then I insulate it and put in heat and air conditioning.Â
However, I saw my dream laid out on the internet.  The other day, MSN.com ran a story on the “Katrina Cottages”, which are made by Cusato Cottages and sold by LOWE’S. I immediately saw this as a way to build my 308 square foot dream house. The front room could be a sitting, reading, and TV area (with PlayStation) and the backroom could be a library full of comic books and a desk for writing. All for $18, 000 (before construction). These little houses even have a bathroom and kitchen.
Of course, another option is to build a house big enough to have a room devoted to comics, but what fun would that be?

I saw the same thing about the cottages!! I love the idea… why waste money on trailers when they could make things that would appreciate! I would love to get one for a playspade, they are so cute!!
