This afternoon, the new gameplay trailer for the new EA Sports PGA Tour dropped on YouTube. I’m excited about the game and have been the minute I heard that EA Sports was dipping back into the PGA line of gaming. I played one of the Tiger Woods games when I was deployed on PS2, but have been focused on shooters until recently. I have been playing PGA Tour 2K23 this year, which I’ve been very happy with and will continue to enjoy throughout this season,
The new EA Sport PGA Tour trailer reveals a very detailed game, but mentions that there are setting to keep beginners like me in the game. Like many of the other EA Sports games, the developers go deep into the science of the game and everything that can effect the ball as to make the game as realistic as possible. This is absolutely wonderful, until it becomes too scientific for the novice to understand. Thankfully, there are easier settings that take all the science and apply it to the ball but the player only has too modify a limited portion. The only downside of the game, for me, is that it releases two weeks prior to our planned household goods move for our next home and it looks like it is only on PlayStation 5 and not PlayStation 4—which I am still using. Therefore, it will be awhile before I am able to play it…maybe July? We’ll just have to see.
If you have a PS5 (or Xbox or other systems), check out EA Sports PGA Tour to put on your preorder list! I will certainly be jealous!
