I love to read. It is one practice that I wish I could make more time for and I am always thinking about reading another book. I have a long reading list and will never be able to complete them all. Most of what I read is Non-Fiction. When it comes to fiction, I stay pretty simple with Star Trek books. But, when I am looking for another book to read I look to my reading list. I never read from my list in order, but I read a book according to mood. I typically find books to add to my list through three main sources, and if you are in the market these are great places to find your next book as well.
Best Seller Lists: I enjoy reading the paper and I get many different books from recommendations from the Best Seller lists in the newspaper or from the Book Review section.
Podcast Recommendations: Another place I get book recommendations is from podcasts. Whether the author was a guest, or the guest recommend or mention a book, I will often go back and research the book from a podcast.
Blog Articles: Finally, I look to blog posts or columns that refer to a book as a part of their research for the post I am reading. These books typically are good recommendations because they usually impacted the person in some way enough to do further research in an area.
These are three simple places to find quality book recommendation. I find it interesting that all three of these require active participation on my part to find a book. I hope that these will help you find a book to read and would love to know what tips do you have to find a book to read.
