This morning, I was able to have time to spend five postcards through Postcrossing.com
Postcrossing.com is a site where you can send postcards and receive postcards from anyone around the world. I discovered this site several months ago, but I haven’t been able to send anything out until today. One of the major steps I had to take was to get my PO Box, so that I could send things out a little more securely. Then, I had to buy some postcards and as well as have time to figure things out and to actually write some postcards.
The five post cards went to the Czech Republic, the USA—in California, Russia, Germany, and Spain. I sent three different designs. For the three of the cards I used the Fort Bliss Cards, but two of the other countries, I used the El Paso cards.
I am anxious to have post cards sent to me! The way that post crossing works is that the website will offer my name and address after the cards have been registered as received. Which makes sense—how do they that I sent one if they are never received. There is a number that goes with each card so that it can be registered.
Now that I have filled my quota of five post cards, now I have to wait for a week or so for them to be registered and maybe another couple of weeks for someone else to mail be a card. I look forward to post those as I receive them!
