The week began with helicopters landing on the helipad. It is a favorite part of being here at Camp Red Cloud because the frequent helicopters visits are fun to watch-even for a moment.
Tuesday night got busy, so I ran out of time to eat supper. I quickly ran by the KATUSA snack bar before they closed. I enjoyed a bowl of “Bi bim bap” while I watched a Korea game show.
Wednesday started with rain and continued to rain off and on all week. As I was making my way to work, I ran into one of our KATUSAs for a quick photo before we began our day.
Thursday, I needed a little boost so I visited the PX. There is a promotion for m&m’s right now—which is bad for me. I had to pick up a pack. While I enjoyed my snack, I looked down to realize that I had aimlessly separated the m&m’s by their colors. Monica always laughs when I do this—but it does show my natural tendency to organize…everything.
Tonight, I went out for supper wearing my new cap sent to me by my cousin, Adam. The cap is from Watertight Roofing in Winder, GA. I appreciate their support of Soldiers and I love the cap. It is a trucker cap with mesh backing that is great in the humidity of Korea and will be very nice in the desert of El Paso. The hat is definitely a new favorite in my growing collection of hats!
