Hello all! I’m Elizabeth Anne Andrews (Keith Andrews’s daughter), writer of storiesandsketches.com.
I have been blogging for about a year and a half. Blogging has been a great adventure, and I love sharing my writing with my readers. Here’s a little bit about my blogging journey.
One afternoon, in the fall of 2018, I got an exciting email from the grammar checking site, grammerly.com. It reported my writing to be accurate and that I used more unique words than most of its users.
I ran to Mommy and Daddy to show them the email. They exclaimed over it and told me I should start my own blog. I hadn’t thought of it before then, but I wholeheartedly agreed. Blogging sounded exciting.
After a few weeks of brainstorming, I came up with the name “Stories and Sketches”. It was perfect because I love telling stories and drawing.
On October 21, 2018, I published my first post, “Step by Step Drawing”, a review of a drawing tutorial series at our library.
For my first six months of blogging, I posted only book reviews and drawing tutorials. But, as I grew more confident, I added a greater variety of posts to my blog.
I now post four times a week, with posts on faith, writing, books, and art.
Some of my favorite posts of mine are 5 Verses to Remind You that You Are Not Alone, How Many Heads (repost), and Don’t Fear the Cliche.
