I began the day, following my morning devotions, with a wonderful time reading my Kindle Fire. I typically try to run in the morning, but given the altitude adjustment and the hills, I’m taking it a little easy on the running—every other day. This gives me time to do some early morning reading. I read some blogs, some news articles, and part of a book on Baseball Card Collecting. It reminded of the time only about a year ago that I would enjoy reading the newspaper before work.
I still managed to break away and get to Fort Bliss by 0830—enough to wait for the person I needed to in-process with. Then I got a new ID card. Followed by a little Army miscommunication that led to me taking a long lunch. Sometimes, when the people you need to see are in a meeting—it’s better to just call the search off and go to Denny’s. This is where I began to think big thoughts about my 2013 Fantasy Baseball League.
Following an afternoon Chaplain (UMT) training, I was able to get home in time to take the kids to AWANA and then Monica I were able to go find Target. That brings me here at my desk. It is nice to have it set up and ready.
It is nice to be able to come and write. Thank you for reading!
