During my early morning journaling—the guide that I am using asked me to allow someone who knows me to act like a mirror and tell me how I use my strengths during my daily life. Now, I don’t want to focus on the strengths—that is for another post all together. But I was amazed that I was instructed to look in a mirror for the good things in my life!
There are so many analogies and examinations that we are instructed to do to look in the mirror to see where we come up short—to uncover your flaws.
But the Bible says “I am fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14a ESV)” Yes, I am a sinner—and yes, because I am a sinner—I deserve death and hell. But I have new life in Christ!
God created me. There are good things about me. So many times we look in the mirror and expose our flaws—it is time for us to look in the mirror and see the blessing that God created.
Flawed—yes; but let’s start looking at the good things!
