I go to alot of meeting. I got to alot of long meetings. In fact, many of the meetings, I go to they are so long…
Sometimes, I wonder why I go. Does it always pertain to me. Uh, NO!Â
But, then–that is not true. Everything that goes on in a Battalion is the concern of the Chaplain from the Counting of the Bullets to the serving of the chow. All of this goes translates into people–there are people involved in every aspect of every operation–it doesn’t matter what it is–it is involves people.
So I sit in the meetings–they call this “Ministry of Presence”. I think that I think of it as ministry…because after all a meeting invovles people.

Thank God for chaplains that understand the “Ministry of Presence”. The chaplain I served with didn’t and my troops never respected him because of it.
