As I was out for a walk, a couple of weeks ago, I was craving something American…or at least close to it. I tried Pizza Hut, but they don’t sell “Personal Pan Pizza’s” in Korea. I can’t eat an entire small pizza, so I had to keep walking until I found Mom’s Touch: New Orleans Style Chicken and Burger.
I’m not sure where they get the “New Orleans Style” but I’ll take their word for it. However, I did enjoy my visit. Mom’s Touch serves different kinds of chicken sandwiches. I heard one person call it the “Chick-Fil-A of Korea”. The service was good and the Wi-Fi was free, but they served Pepsi products.
I chose a “Thigh Burger”, which as I think about it…doesn’t quite sound that great but it was good. It was made of dark meat chicken. The dark meat seemed as if it were fileted and then fried. Dark meat was a new experience because I don’t think I have ever seen dark meat chicken on a sandwich. I was actually amazed at how much of a difference that it did make. The sandwich was smothered in mayonnaise, but that’s not a problem—I love mayonnaise. The problem is that I am still getting used to having just a small napkin. I definitely enjoyed the sandwich, but I do want to try a white meat sandwich the next time I visit.
The best part of the meal was the fries. These seasoned fries were absolutely amazing.
Overall, it was an enjoyable visit to a new restaurant. I look forward to returning, even if I just order the fries!
