This week could be considered a normal week. Working all day and finding time to take a walk and a picture at night after the sun goes down.
This pattern started on Monday, when I went out for a walk think about finding a photo to take when I thought it would be good to just take a photo of the street I live on. This is the main and busiest road on post. In fact, it is the only road that connects the main gate to the back gate. The road is about a half mile long.
Following a dinner on Tuesday night, I went for a walk again but this time I noticed the moon as it sat above a building known as Freeman Hall.
Walking around post on Wednesday, I notice some new signs around post emphasizing the General’s Imperatives. This sign reminds everyone who passes to live the Army Values even when no one is looking.
Thursday, I was able to visit another nearby Army post called Camp Casey. Camp Casey has a Starbucks that I could visit and do some reading. I told the group I was with to drop me off while they visited the Dining Facility. It was a great start to the day!
I ended the week with another walk. While I was walking, I spotted a pair of chairs underneath the bridge. It is very common to see local people sitting under the bridge in the morning and in the afternoon. The owners of these chairs seem to have staked out their morning sitting spot. The interesting thing about Korea is that no one will steal these chairs, so they will probably remain there until one monsoon season washes them away.
It was an enjoyable week of walking about taking photos wherever I might be.
