I was excited to finally see Wonder Woman #4 on the shelves a couple of weeks ago. However, when I finally read it, I couldn’t remember anything that was going on prior in the arc. The story would have been good if the issues were closer together. I am so disappointed that DC has let their readers down on one of the big three.
With that said, I did enjoy the story. Once I read a little bit, I caught up to what was going on. I think that there was enough Greek Mythology in there to satisfy the story of Wonder Woman. I think that the writers have drawn on some great source material to hang on to. I hope, however, that writers for Wonder Woman don’t get carried away with the Greek stuff, because the more they throw in there the harder it becomes to understand.
I also think that they handled Wonder Woman’s regret for killing Max Lord well. I think her relenting on killing her arch rivals restored my confidence that DC is not creating a league of murders but of justice.
