The YogerPresso Yogurt and Coffee Shop in Uijeongbu, Korea is a fun place to spend the afternoon reading a book, writing, or enjoying the company of friends.
I wanted to visit a new coffee shop and spent of few moments walking around downtown Uijeongbu for the right coffee shop for the day. After spending some time deliberating over which coffee shop that I would enter, I decided that I could not resist the Christmas decorations drawing me into the store.
At first, I noticed the Christmas Tree with presents underneath.
Then, there was a snowman on the other side of the door, welcoming me in. For many coffee shops, I have noticed, the Christmas season began on November first. Along with Christmas music and decorations.
Then, I noticed a big bear looking out from the third floor. The section is open because it is the smoking section of the coffee shop. But, the bear looking out? I don’t know why he is there, except for year round decoration. He was kinda of interesting though.
Inside the shop is a long counter with an elaborate menu. I am not a coffee connoisseur, so I struggle with what many of the coffees are in English, much less Korean. So, I ordered my Café Mocha which is one of my favorites in any country. I will say I saw a drink topped off with strawberries, picked up by someone else before me, that made me reconsider.
The atmosphere was lively, but not obnoxious. I went to the upstairs “Book Café” section, where I was surrounded by others with their lap tops opened and their ear phones in along with other groups of friends. It was a wonderful place to read and write for the afternoon.
When my drink was ready, I was very pleased. By the time I climbed the stairs and got settled to take a picture, the Café Mocha had already begun to melt the pile of whipped cream on the top. It was a great begging to an enjoyable visit.
