It’s important to have goals and when those goals are achieved, that achievement is an incredible blessing. At the end of last year, I had a goal to beat my near 8,910 page views and get 10,000 page views in 2016. Thanks to a little bump today, I have hit that mark about a week and a half earlier than expected.
Several years ago, I merged all my content together from two blogs to form dustyfile.com. The blog was new to the internet, so it took a while for the older posts to begin to be recognized by search engines. Also, as I was struggling to post regularly; this infrequency did not draw many readers in either. In 2015, I began to post every day. Sometimes, I have thought about dialing down to one post a week after disappointing periods. During these times, with the encouragement of my wife, I continued to focus on writing my “Blog Every Day for Four Years” experiment. It is days like today that give me the encouragement to press on.
Thank you for reading my blog on a regular basis. It is encouraging to see that what I say relates to people from time to time. I’ll admit that sometimes the writing isn’t as good as I would like, but I keep trying; and other times, I see progress in my writing. I thank you for sticking with me. As I enter the third year of my experiment, I am looking forward to seeing if I can hit 10,000 again next year, or even higher! It is nice to be able to have people check in, so I look forward to producing more quality posts as I move forward.
