Wow! I cannot believe that it is almost Christmas, however, if the weeks go by as fast as this one—it is easy to understand.
The week started out with a day-off, that turned into a very busy day with a couple of work issue that popped up and had to be address that day. By the end of the day, I looked around my room and was longing for Spring. I saw my baseball caps on the dresser and began to long for baseball season. I support two smaller market teams, they do the best with what they can get before the larger markets bribe the heavy hitters away. That’s ok with me because money doesn’t buy heart.
Tuesday, was a unusually warm half day and I made a point to get off post as fast as possible. I found a brand new coffee shop with a study area and I stayed three hours—writing and drinking coffee.
Early Wednesday morning, we boarded the bus to travel to Camp Casey as the Second Infantry Division formed the shape of it’s famed “Indian Head” patch in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Division in 2017.
Another busy day on Thursday as I was in the office most of this rainy day. I did make it to the post office to find that my month’s supply of comic books had arrived! There is nearly nothing more enjoyable than to have a rainy day curled up reading comic books.
Today, I spent the day writing my life plan for January through March. Being at the end of the year, I also changed all of the photos inside my plan, so it was extra enjoyable to look though the hundreds of photos from 2016. It was a good reminder of how thankful I am to have such a wonderful family back in the states.
