While finishing up the house, I ran a backup on my computer. I had been backing up only through Carbonite, which backs the computers up “in the cloud”. Because I’m doing more and more with Genealogy and Photos, I’m getting to be a little more concerned about file management and safety.
I’m also realizing that I’ve got an older computer (relatively speaking) and I only have 288GB of storage. So, I really need to start organizing the files and getting rid of the duplicates and of the stuff that I don’t want anymore.
The rest of the day was spent finishing up our un-packing. We are done. I still have to get in the garage and work with the storage, but the inside is completely done. Outside, some of this is going to my office, some is stuff we need to get rid of, and some are decorations and just general storage. After our move to Columbia, last July, we got serious with the amount of stuff we are carrying around with us. And, much like my computer files, we have been purging and organizing.
