Ok, so you may think that we live in the dark ages. And, yes, in some ways we do.
As I mentioned on this week’s “Stuff Soldiers Like”, most of the time, there isn’t a sink around.
That is except for the Chow Hall.
Here at Stryker, we have a very nice DFAC (Dinning Facility). Most of the FOB (Forward Operating Bases) do. And, in these, DFACs there are hand washing stations. Before we are allowed into the DFAC, everyone must wash their hands.
Well, our hand washing stations are High Tech. They have motion sensors on them.
Most people have no problem. I get a little spastic with them. Do you think I’m afraid of them? I can never get them to work right.
I did find one sink that likes me.
This one will probably be the one that goes down for repair tomorrow for the next two months.

See! You need Hand Sanitizer!!!

I am glad I am not the only one with that problem! Give me an old fashioned sink faucet any day, the automatic ones never work or they don’t give you enough water..
Many ladies rooms here in China have the automatic sinks no soap and no paper towels, the hand dryers rarely work. Needless to say there is water everywhere except in the sink. The floor is covered so you have to watch you don’t slip, the floors are slick marble too.
I end up wiping my hands on my legs to dry them.
I won’t even go into the toilet area. Yuck! That is really a mess!
Good luck with the faucet that does work! 😉
