As I work on my computer, day in and day out, it begins to get bogged down in the processes. I work back and forth between app and programs and documents. Before long, after several days or weeks, the computer gets slower and slower. The best fix for this is to restart or reboot.
Why should you reboot your computer? Because “when you restart your computer, you flush out all the random, unimportant, and temporary data bogging down your device.”
Wouldn’t that be nice to do in your personal life? To reboot? Sometimes we need to. Sometimes it is called decluttering or downsizing. It is all the same.
But think of it. Take time to:
Flush out all of the random, unimportant, and temporary stuff that is bogging you down. Notice I say temporary—you still need to deal with the permanent stuff. But, if you clear out the temporary, you’ll have more space to deal with the permanent issues. The temporary stuff are things like toxic negative thoughts, activities that get in the way of the permanent, and random projects that you have started but you’re no longer interested in but feel too guilty to get rid of. It may be time to flush all of this away and get a restart.
And like my computer, you may need to do this on a seemingly regular basis.
